TinkerToyz was born in Milan in 2022, uniting four musicians united by the same obsession: to bring back to life the visceral and brazen energy of 80s glam metal. The spark ignited in different places but all linked by a passion for rock: Michael Waste (drums) and Revy Nayle (guitars) met in a rehearsal room in Brescia, while Revy met Alexander Räw (vocals) in the legendary Rock On The Road in Milan. Finally, Dave Melrose (bass) joined the band after meeting Michael online, completing the line-up. Their sound is a powerful and modern tribute to the Sunset Strip scene in Los Angeles, with obvious influences from Mötley Crüe, Cinderella, Van Halen, Poison and Dokken. Between sleaze metal, hair metal and fiery riffs, the Tinkertoyz evoke the golden age with a personal and uncompromising style. At the end of May 2025, the band released their first self-produced EP, consisting of four tracks, available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and all the main streaming platforms. A few days later, in early June 2025, the official single I’m on My Way to Rock was launched, accompanied by a video clip on YouTube that perfectly captures the band’s aesthetics and attitude. The Tinkertoyz have already made a name for themselves on the stages of the main clubs of the Lombardy scene, including the Rock’n’Roll in Milan and Rho, the Slaughter Club, the Crazy Grill in Varedo, the Centrale Pub in Erba, Blah Blah in Turin and many others. In 2025, the band was admitted directly to the Lombardy finals of the 38th edition of Sanremo Rock, one of the most popular competitions on the Italian independent scene. They were also selected to participate in the Tour Music Fest 2025, the European festival that discovers and promotes new emerging talents. They have also taken part in several national contests, including the one promoted by the Estro Musicale Foundation, obtaining very positive reviews from specialized critics. Currently, the Tinkertoyz are starting work on new pieces and a future album, with the aim of pushing their sound identity even further and bringing glam rock into a new light. Rock is back. And it wears eyeliner.
