Northampton singer-songwriter Maddox Jones kicks off 2026 by revisiting a song that has been with him throughout his solo journey. “No More Ghosts” is a reimagined version of the fan-favourite track originally released in 2020 as the closing song on his debut EP, Headspace. Maddox will also be supporting Great Adamz at the St. Crispin Community Centre on February 14, as well as joining Tyler Hilton and Katie Voegele on their European tour in April.
Six years later, “No More Ghosts” acts as a conversation between who Maddox was then and who he is now. The track has been transformed from a delicate, slow-burning ballad into a dance-infused synthpop anthem, retaining its emotional depth while bringing a new sense of strength and release. While the lyrics still explore the lingering shadows of past relationships and the struggle to let go, this 2026 version feels lighter, clearer, and more at peace. Pulsing synths and expansive production replace the original’s stripped-back arrangement, reflecting confidence, acceptance, and forward momentum. The updated production mirrors Maddox’s growth as an artist, giving new energy to a deeply personal track.
The release is accompanied by a striking new visualizer, minimal yet deeply emotive. Subtle shifts in light, shadow, and movement mirror the song’s emotional journey—from being haunted by memories to finding stillness and closure. It serves as a quiet yet powerful visual companion to the track, reinforcing the theme of release and renewal at the heart of “No More Ghosts.”
This marks Maddox’s first new music since his acclaimed second album, Waiting for the World to Turn, and signals the start of a fresh chapter following a period of intense creativity, collaboration, and live performance. Supporting Great Adamz on Valentine’s Day continues a creative relationship built over the past year, while “No More Ghosts” offers a reflective moment—a reminder that moving forward often begins with finally letting go.
This spring, Maddox will support Tyler Hilton and Katie Voegele on tour, celebrating the music of One Tree Hill, with European dates including:

His 2021 follow-up single, Can’t Wait for the Summer, hit #1 on the same chart.
