Recently born, Slavetree belongs to the artistic patrimony of the African Horn. “One day, I saw a friend playing on guitara traditional song of the South Italy. I told him it was fantastic what he was playing and I asked him how he could do that. He explained me he used only two chords and that the popular music was often composed on only two chords. Then, always with the same two chords, he started playing some blues. That day I understood if two chords had all those identities, they would explain me one day who I really am. That day I understood that I wanted to play guitar to sing the melodies I felt.

THEN, I PASSED UNDER THE TREE AND HE STARTED TELLING ME THE STORY OF THAT MAN, ENSLAVED BY THE DESIRE OF CUTTING HIM TO BECOME RICH.

Passing from the Afro groove to the electro-pop, Slavetree sings the ” Modern times”. It’s a mix-up of tradition and modern music, sparkling of machines to which you can add a drop of life and an invicible optimism, you can freshly serve. lAvetrEE

After years looking for his sound identity, the Tree comes out of the cave to nally light the sky.
