LinguaMadre is an original production promoted by the most important world music prizes and festivals of Italy (Premio Nazionale Città di Loano per la Musica Tradizionale Italiana, Premio Andrea Parodi di Cagliari and Festival Mare & Miniere) and was born from an idea of the journalist and songwriting expert Enrico De Angelis. It’s formed by – Duo Bottasso, brothers and musicians who work from 15 years in the field of contemporary music, improvisation, traditional music from their home region Piedmont. – Elsa Martin, jazz singer interested in poetry and with a brilliant career with the italian jazz pianist Stefano Battaglia. – Davide Ambrogio, young folk singer and multi-instrumentalist from Calabria, the new voice of South Italy world music.
