Emerging from beyond the boundaries of time, space, and sound itself, FURTHER returns with their most ambitious and conceptual project to date: THE FURTHER EXPERIENCE. More than a traditional album, this work positions itself as a fully immersive journey, a carefully constructed sonic universe where music, storytelling, and emotional depth converge. It is a project that doesn’t simply aim to be heard, but to be entered.
At the center of this universe lies the spirit of FURTHER, an otherworldly entity traveling across galaxies, timelines, and fragments of collective memory. Carrying what can be described as the “blueprints of creation,” this entity moves through dimensions in search of connection, creation, and the lost counterpart that once formed “The Two.” This narrative thread becomes the backbone of the album, offering a framework through which deeply human themes—unity, consciousness, transformation, and our connection to something greater—are explored with clarity and intention.
Each track unfolds as a chapter within this evolving mythology. Rather than functioning as isolated pieces, the songs act as portals into different dimensions of the FURTHER universe. Listeners are guided through shifting environments, each one revealing new aspects of the story while reflecting emotional states that feel both intimate and universal. The result is a listening experience that feels cinematic yet personal, abstract yet grounded in recognizable emotion.
From a sonic perspective, THE FURTHER EXPERIENCE resists categorization. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Overmono, Floating Points, Gesaffelstein, and Burial, the album moves fluidly across experimental UK garage, dark techno, house, and IDM. These influences are not imitated but reinterpreted, contributing to a soundscape that balances club-driven energy with intricate atmospheric design. Heavy rhythmic tension intersects with detailed sound textures, creating a dynamic interplay between movement and introspection.
What makes this project particularly compelling is its dual nature. On one level, it delivers a powerful, forward-thinking electronic music experience. On another, it invites reflection on connection—between individuals, across time, and within the broader context of shared consciousness. The spirit of FURTHER acts both as a messenger and a mirror, emphasizing that creation is not isolated but collective, shaped by unseen forces and shared experiences.
Ultimately, THE FURTHER EXPERIENCE stands as the clearest expression of FURTHER’s artistic vision so far. It represents a push beyond boundaries—sonically, emotionally, and creatively—while remaining accessible through its emotional resonance. This is not simply an album. It is a world, a transmission, and the beginning of something much larger.
“You’ll feel it, before you understand it.”
THE FURTHER EXPERIENCE is described as more than an album—as a “sonic universe.” At what point did the project evolve from a collection of tracks into a fully developed narrative and world?
It became a universe the moment I realised the tracks were, in their own way, syncopated sonically rather than existing as separate ideas. At first, I was planning to just release a single, which would end up being the opening track of my album “Always.” I was just creating music driven by emotion and instinct, but I wanted to push myself beyond my own expectations. So that’s when I got the idea of crafting this world. A lot of my decisions come from me wanting to go that extra mile, not because I think that I can do it, but because what else do I have? “You’ve got one life, and you’ve got to live it,” a close friend once told me, so always aim higher. I started crafting the album a week before I released it, and got some great ideas down that felt connected but didn’t yet have language around them. Over time, I noticed recurring themes: distance, connection, duality, transcendence. That’s when I understood it wasn’t just an album, it was a world with its own internal logic. Instead of asking “what does this track sound like?”, I started asking “where does this track exist inside this world?” That shift changed everything. It became storytelling through sound rather than just production. From there, the album kind of wrote itself. I engrossed myself in this narrative I created and the story I was building, and tailored my own flair to its lore, and this is my first attempt at showing that.
The concept of the spirit FURTHER and “The Two” plays a central role in the project. What inspired this mythology, and how does it connect to the human themes explored throughout the album?
I can’t reveal much, but all will make sense in due time…
I want people to figure it out themselves and come up with their own theories, but I will shed a little bit of lore and context with my story. A lot of what I am came from that feeling and belief that some connections exist beyond logic, beyond time, and beyond a single lifetime. A lot of what I allow people to see is purely a metaphor, but it’s also very real in the emotional sense. Everyone knows what it feels like to search for purpose, for belonging, for someone who feels like home. That’s where the human side of my tale lives. The story isn’t really about fantasy; it’s about connection, longing, and the idea that we spend most of our lives trying to return to something. Sometimes that’s another person, sometimes it’s a version of ourselves we lost along the way. My early blueprints explore that journey: distance, separation, memory, transformation, and ultimately reunion. It asks whether we are all moving toward something we can’t fully explain, and whether the things meant for us will always find their way back. I plan to reveal more over time, but it’s not going to be easy to find, so keep your eyes peeled—there may already be hidden messages somewhere that reveal more of my story…
Each track acts as a chapter within the story. How did you approach structuring the album so that it maintains both narrative continuity and individual identity for each track?
I treated sequencing the album like I would sequence the pacing of a film. Every track needed to stand alone emotionally, but also push the listener deeper into the world. Some tracks act like exposition—they establish atmosphere and tension—while others feel like confrontation, release, or reflection. I focused heavily on transitions, recurring motifs, and emotional progression rather than forcing a rigid storyline. Certain synth elements and rhythmic ideas reappear in different forms across the album, almost like characters returning in different scenes. That creates continuity, while each track still has its own purpose and personality. I wanted every song to feel complete on its own, but, when heard together, reveal something bigger—an entire experience.
Sonically, the project blends elements of UK garage, techno, house, and IDM. How did you balance these influences while maintaining a cohesive and recognizable sound?
The goal was never to fuse genres for the sake of it; for me, it’s emotional translation. Different genres carry different energies and messages: UKG has intimacy, techno has movement and tension, house brings release and warmth, while IDM, for me, brings complexity and introspection. I used each one as a language for different parts of the narrative. Cohesion across the genres was sculpted with sound design. Most of the synth work was built from scratch, so even when rhythms changed, the sonic fingerprint stayed consistent. I was also very focused on atmosphere, space, texture, and harmonic colour, so the message I’m trying to convey always felt recognisable even when the genre references shifted. It was less about blending genres and more about building one identity that could move through all of them naturally.
The album explores ideas of connection, consciousness, and shared creation. What do you hope listeners take away from THE FURTHER EXPERIENCE after fully immersing themselves in it?
I hope people leave feeling like they’ve travelled somewhere, internally as much as sonically. My message is really about recognising that we’re never creating or existing in isolation. We’re shaped by people, memory, energy, absence, love, conflict— all of it. I want listeners to feel both small and connected, like they’re part of something larger than themselves. I just hope it creates reflection on who we are, who we become through others, and how consciousness itself is collaborative. More than understanding the story, I want people to feel it, and maybe see parts of themselves inside it.
“THE FURTHER EXPERIENCE doesn’t just present music—it constructs a fully immersive world where sound, narrative, and emotion coexist. FURTHER pushes beyond genre limitations to deliver a project that feels both expansive and deeply human, inviting listeners into something that reveals itself gradually, but resonates instantly.” – Music-Alive (MusicAlive.net)
